From Appleby town centre, take the road over the River Eden to the 'T' Junction.  Turn left for Penrith.  After 300metres, Battlebarrow Hill levels off. Stableblock Bungalow is on the left hand side. (The last building before the field and the Grammar School.) From A66 East (Penrith) follow the road into Appleby. We are the first right hand turn after the Grammar School and almost immediately opposite the telephone exchange. From A66 West (Brough) follow the Appleby Road. Do not turn into the town centre but continue up Battlebarrow. Stableblock is at the top of the hill on the left hand side, just before the telephone exchange.
